Our Commitment

Buna Science is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Standard

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

Measures We Take

  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for text)
  • Full keyboard navigability with visible focus indicators
  • Skip navigation link
  • Descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
  • Properly labeled form controls
  • Responsive design that works across screen sizes and zoom levels
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion (animations disabled when requested)
  • No content that relies solely on color to convey information
  • Touch targets of at least 44×44 pixels
  • Self-hosted fonts (no third-party requests)

Compatibility

buna.science is designed to be compatible with:

  • Current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • Screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS)
  • Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
  • Spatial computing devices (Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest)

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, some content may have limitations:
